The above criteria are recommended but will act as guidance for GLL Sport Foundation Board and will be used as required to prioritise / determine allocation of awards within categories. Support priority may initially be given to Olympic and Paralympic Sports. Consideration may also be given to mainstream majority sports.
Eligibility
- Resides, go to a school or training base in a borough where GLL operate sports facilities
- Holds a sporting license recognised by NGB
- Long Term Potential to succeed at International level
- Is not in receipt of UK Sport APA Funding (unless a sport specialist recommendation)
- Demonstrates either potential or performance recognised by SportsAid/NGB
- Priority is given to the ages specified for awards but exceptions will be considered for paralympic athletes; where there is no specific agebands
Expectations from GLL Sport Foundation
- Attendance at GLL publicity events (minimum one per annum)
- GLL to be informed quarterly of competition programme & results
- Recognition of GLL support - individual biography/website
